A few ?'s on JHS
I'm getting it done next week at hair club IB
In general though, if I wanted to use a curling iron or something similar on my hair sometime, will it work? Or am I not supposed to?
Also, do they put something so the roots are protected, like a root softener or something?
Also, when the new hair starts to grow back in, can I just use a straightener on the grown back part so it "fits" in with the rest of my hair?
Thanks

Re: A few ?'s on JHS
I have been doing this since 2002
first time at IB 2 weeks ago
1- yes
2- not sure- it's more the ends that I always worry about it- she used a product called mix on me since my JHS was from a different place
3- yes- my hair is long and doesn't curl at the root- but after 4 months I normally flat iron

Re: A few ?'s on JHS
A curling iron will work... I can put my hair in a bun and make waves as well.
My lady puts a root softener on my hair. She said without the root softener you're more likely to have breakage and get that "buzz cut" feeling at the top of your head. I think it's most important at your part.
You can use a flat iron on the grown in part... I usually just blow it out with a round brush though. I don't worry to much about the ends since they still have JHS in them.. I mainly focus on the root/re-growth.
Good luck!!! JHS changed my life!!

If DH comes with me, whats the closest mall for him to go hang out at while he waits for me? He wanted to go to roosevelt field for dylan's candy bar....or is there a closer mall?
Thanks

my hair only took about 3.5 hours
the closest mall is Queens center- but he has time to drive to roosevelt field and back
