would you consider underwear a weird gift?
for a two year old, a "days of the week" underwear package. cute? weird? reserved as a present by parents/relatives? just not appropriate?
curious...

Yeah-unless it was from my mom or FH's mom, I'd consider it weird. I guess unless there's a story behind it and it's a joke...

It would depend on who was giving it. Coming from a relative or VERY close friend (grandparent, aunt, uncle) it wouldn't be weird. From a casual friend, WEIRD!!

I agree. from a close friend, esp something cute like "days of the week" undies, Id think it was cute.

I chose other. I wouldn't assume a 2 year old is toilet trained and therefore, wouldn't know if whatever size I bought would fit them by the time they could use them.
Otherwise, I would be fine with it. Who can't use extra underwear?

I put other because it depends.
From a 45 year old male co-worker: yes, very weird.
From another mom, woman: no.
Whoever bought it probably thought it was cute because it was a week set.

yeah, see my sister got it for my daughter as part of a gift last year (the gymboree sweet set) and i thought it was adorable, i was thinking of doing it for a friend but didn't know if people think it's weird.
if figure a 2-3 year old is on his/her way to be potty trained and depending on the clothing size of the child i would buy accordingly. for a 2nd birthday i figure it to be a welcome to potty training year

My 2-year old is really nowhere near potty training, so it would be a wasted gift for her. If you KNOW the kid is near potty training, I think it's cute as part of a set, like you said your sister did.
