Vegatable Garden - Cabbage worms?

I am growing broccoli in my garden for the first time. The garden is completely organic and has been doing well up to this point. I noticed today a bunch of huge holes in the broccoli leaves. From my research it appears to be cabbage worms or moths. I have read you can hand remove them and the eggs but I was wondering if anyone had experience with organic products to control these pests.

Re: Vegatable Garden - Cabbage worms?

Jerry Baker has several books on controlling critters organically. I'm sure I saw this in his book "Jerry Baker's Terrific Tomatoes, Sensational Spuds, and Mouth-Watering Melons: 1,274 Super Secrets for Growing Prize-Winning Vegetables" but unfortunately I just returned it to the library so I can't look it up for you. Maybe you can borrow it from the library? It has recipes for home made organic sprays, etc. for all types of critters that attack a garden.

Thanks I will def check this out. I found a few things online and I actually killed two moths I saw land on them with a tennis racket. Chat Icon
