Tipping the Merry Maids

I have the Merry Maids coming in on Monday to do an initial cleaning and if all goes well we'll have them come in more regularly.

My question is what should I tip the two women coming on Monday? and then what would I tip them if the come more regularly.

If it helps they will be cleaning our 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment which is about 1750 sq. feet.

I have roughly the same size apt. I had them come in once, 3 years ago, and I think I tipped them each $15. I have no idea if that was generous, cheap, the norm, or what, but that's what I gave them. Merry Maids is NOT cheap, and I did take that into consideration.

that sounds about right I would say 10 - 15.
Let me know how they are. Some one on here suggested maid bragaide so I think I'm going to go with them but I didn't confirm yet so if merry maids is really good keep me posted - thanks!

So the Merry Maids came in on Monday. I ended up tipping them $20 each. I guess I was feeling generous. I think they did a decent job and am considering having them back on a more regular basis. Since they were on the hour for the initial visit I didn't have them do the windows, or the fridge but it would have been nice for them to ask. Also, I have a glass cabinet in my dining room that they didn't touch and they missed the bottom "shelf" of my dining room table. It's a glass top so I don't know how they missed it!
