Re: Mosquito help
We have ocassionally used the Cutter stuff they sell at HD - you attach it to the hose and spray down the lawn, bushes, everything. Do it a few hours before the party and it will help!

Re: Mosquito help
Thank you, I looked up those bracelets and I think it would be a little expensive for 60 guests. My mom gave me that Cutter spray so we will try that!

Fans! put out some fans... they can't fly into them... plus it will cool everyone off on a hot day.

Re: Mosquito help
Call me crazy, but I would not spray something that contains Deet around my yard.

A couple of weeks ago in Lowes, they were selling fogger fans - you can hook them up to a water source and they spray a fine mist around. Or you can just use regular fans.
Sorry I can't be of more help, we don't have many mosquitos. Do you have standing water around anywhere? They are really attracted to puddles and stagnant water.

Re: Mosquito help
Can you do vanilla scented candles on the tables? I know that deters them a little.
Bounce dryer sheets work well too......I had about 4 in my pocket this weekend when I was weeding and it worked great. But it would be weird to ask your guests to put a dryer sheet in their pocket

Re: Mosquito help
We live right by the water and mosquito are a real problem. I use Cutter that they sell at HD and I swear by it!! It will last for a while so you can even spray it the night before the party. Just try not to spray it if it is going to rain in the next few hours and before letting kids/pets on the grass make sure it is completely dry. Good luck and have a great party!!
