Vent: people need to learn to keep their hands to themselves

Last night i was at the yankee game with my father, we go all the time, and there are these 2 guys next to us, we do not know them. THey get so drunk one fell asleep in his chair.

Well one of the men, jumped on my father when a good play happened, he jumped on him so bad and hurt my fathers bad shoulder that he has been trying to get better.
The guy was drunk he didnt even realize his own strength i guess.

It just upsets me cause this is the 2nd time he has hurt my dad, the last time he squeezed my fathers neck and shoulders so bad my dad was in agony for weeks after and had to go to the doctor.

My father says next game he is going to speak to him first thing while he is sober and tell him how bad he hurt him. I just hope he listens and doesn't do this again to him.

Its just so upsetting i hate to see my dad in pain.

I'm so sorry to hear that! If he doesn't listen to your dad next time he speaks to him have security escort him out if he gets that drunk again. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to enjoy the game b/c of them!

unreal your dad should def talk to him while still sober, one incident i could see but twice is unacceptable

eta i would def get security involved if speaking to them doesnt help

I agree with the previous poster. I'd notify security.

I'm confused though.....if you dont know them......how has this same person hurt your father twice?

Do you guys happen to have seats next to them every game??

Hope he feels better.

Yes we have season tickets for friday nights, and they do as well, so they are usually there with us, but we don't even talk to them.

Thanks for all the advice, they seem like nice people, but the way they drink they are incoherent and i just hope they remember to keep their hands off of my dad.

I am also thinking i should take my dads seat that way hes not next to them, but im scared hes going to hurt me instead.

Nicole... the second they get out of hand, inform security or a cop. That's what they are there for. Neither one of you should have to subject yourselves to "potential" harm. Seems like you can't even enjoy the game bc you're too worried about what these guys "might" do.

Nice or not, tell the cops/security.

I have a friend who was hurt by a guy at a party. He threw her in the pool and she fractured her hand - she wound up suing him for assault! Not sure how deep dad wants to get into this, but it could be considered assault!
