I agree, I want to see more decorating shows. And decorating shows for the average home owner. Not upscale ones that I can't afford. Talk about local stores that I can buy products in to decorate my house.
Every time I turn on HGTV, House Hunters is on. Drives me nuts!!!

couldnt agree more....I used to watch HGTV like it was no ones business and now I barely turn it out bc its all real estate shows, the same ones, just formatted differently with different titles.
Although I do like the new "income properties"

We used to like David Bromstad, not anymore.
What HGTV has NONE of anymore is "G"!!! The only true gardening show they had was Gardening By The Yard and it's no longer in production. Those so-called landscaping shows are total BS. That's not gardening!!
I get so angry. Sorry.

I dislike MOST of the shows that are on HGTV now.
I don't like Color Splash, Deserving Design, Myles of style, Dear Genevieve.....all totally crappy, unrealistic designs IMO
and i dont think david is hot either

That's so funny... I LOVE him. I love him, Danielle the painter, their carpenter guy... He seems so fun. And his arms - well - they're great.
Divine Design is THE BOMB. I HATE Dear Genevieve. I like Karen Macaloon (sp?) she does the makeover on $50 + paint or something... I like her ideas. I think it's reDesign or something?
I agree about the House Hunting shows - Property Virgins, House Hunters, HH Int'l, My First Place - it goes on, and on, and on, and on.
eta: Oh - and I hate, hate, hate the one with the chick with big boobs - Color Correction or something? She drives me bananas. Seems so fake to me.

I think davids kind of hot but the show is just ok. what really annoys me is the girl danielle, i dont know why but i always think "does she really have any design background, where did they get her from?
i do like deserving design, i cant help shed a tear every episode

I am so over Vern Yip - his rooms are pretty but they are all so similar plus the show is kind of dull. I think he was everyone's favorite from Trading Spaces because he was so low key amoungst all the crazies on that show. 
I love Candace Olson/Divine Design!! Her rooms are gorgeous especially since she works with a real budget I like how she goes through the desing process of selections and she has a cute personality.

ITA! I remember they used to have a show Sensible Chic - they would replicate an expensive, designer room for 2K or so.
but the alternatives : Design on the Dime and Decorating Cents are crap - I hate everything they do.
I don't watch much HGTV anymore at all...
