2cm dilated (36w3d)
just came back from my appt & im 2cm dilated  I was just there on monday and my cervix was closed. I am in shock, I cant believe it. My doc said im going to go early (EDD 8/18) And when I went for my growth scan on Tuesday  is 5lbs 11 oz, (she's going to be a 'small baby)
Is this the normal rate?????????
What do you think????

It's a very normal rate. I had my second daughter at 36 weeks. She was 6 pounds and 19 inches long. Now she's 16.5 mths, healthy and 25 pounds.

They gave me the option of inducing Mon. or inducing Wed. Since the baby is still measuring perfectly (heartbeat, sonos, fluid level and movement are all PERFECT) I chose Wed. It took all my willpower not to choose Sun. because I am sooooo anxious to meet her, but the doc said that with zero dilation there is a greater chance that the Cervadil may not work and I'd end up with a C-section, soooo I figured I'd give it a few extra days to try and dilate somewhat (not counting on it at this point though lol)!!!

Aw don't be nervous (easier said than done I know lol) just think how much closer you are to meeting her! Yes get on that bag packing!

Not to burst your bubble, but you can stay that way for the next 3 weeks.
My SIL and I were due a day apart from eachother, she was 2 cm dialated for 3 weeks. We both had the babies a day apart from eachother a week early, at that point I was induced, but wasn't even fingertip dialated and had my baby before she had hers.
I wouldn't rush getting induced. Try to let it go naturallyl. JMO.

so jealous! I was just at the dr on tuesday and no cervix changes for me....but she was engaged in the pelvis (i was 36w exactly). Hopefully I will be dilated on tuesday a little bit!
get that bag packed! I have to do mine this weekend also!!!

sounds good!
I was 2cm dilated at 35wks and baby measured 6lbs 10oz on the biophysical profile.
I was STILL 2cm dilated at 36wks...
Then at 37 wks I was 3.5cm  with contractions 6-7 minutes apart...and that's how I remain.
Sent home to "walk it out"...

Im sooo jealous!! Im 37.5 weeks and im thinning out but not dilated at all! I was 5 pounds 7 ounces when i was born and my brother was 2 pounds 14 ounce when he was born and we are both fine.

when does ur dr expect u to go?
mine said can take till our due date.
