Is LI Game farm appropriate for an 8yr old?

BIL & SIL and their 8 yr old son are coming to visit in a couple of weeks. I'm trying to think of things that could be fun for an 8 year old while at the same time I can take the babies to.
We're also thinking of Splish Splash, but I feel like I'd be paying a $35 admission for myself to do nothing...

There was a post on here yesterday about the LI game farm. Its FILTHY! I would go to either White Post, Splish Splash, Adventureland, the Aquarium, the beach, Fire Island (Sunken Forest).

what you can do for splish splash (or most amusement parks) is go after a certain time....and pay half price.

i am PETRIFIED of heights....so paying full price for me at an amusement park is just nuts (i go on NOTHING that dave does)....so we always do the 'twiight admission'. You can go at like 5 or 6 (depending on when the park closes) and get in for half price! I know Splish Splash has that too - we did it a few years back...

I bought a 6 year old and 10 year old to the game farm last summer. The 10 year old seemed to have a lot of fun. There was plenty to do and she really enjoyed feeding the animals. The shows were good. It all depends on the child. I am taking the same 2 kids back in August. They can't wait. (Now a 7 y/o boy and 11 y/o girl)
