We drove our parents by the house after we had an accepted offer. They didn't see the house until the night we closed.

My MIL happened to go see the house with me (cause DH wasn't able to) and then I brought my mom. I figure they've both been homeowners and they might know things to look for that I would never even fathom!
It was good to have opinions, I like having someone else's perspective..
On the other hand, I understand your DH's jinx factor. So many things cn happen when you are buying a house. This one has almost falllen through twice, and we've just gotten into contract! Can't wait to see what the future brings!

Same here - the day after we made our offee they came back and wanted best and final offers (there were three competing). My DH was at work so I brought my parents to the house to help me decide and then called him after to confirm.
We brought my in-laws to the inspection.
