where can you get a good deal on Granite?
We would eventually like to change out our butcher block counter for granite, attached is a pic of the counter space we would need it for. We could probably fit remnants, right?

Re: where can you get a good deal on Granite?
We went direct to a Granite and Marble place. They are sometimes cheaper for smaller areas. At HD, somtimes you have to pay for 25 sq feet even if you don't need it. I am not sure where you live, but these places are all over. We went to a granite place in Islandia. The woman we worked with was very nice.

Shop around! We went to three places and ended up with an amazing deal (over $1k less than the other two places, plus they threw in a brand new undermount stainless sink). I'd give you the rec, but i'm in FL.

If you would like I can give you a phone number of a salesmen who did our kitchen. It came out beautiful and the price was very good.

I used Galaxy in Deer Park.
We went to the warehouse in Happauge (Hindustan) picked it out and Galaxy installed. I was VERY happy.

We used Napoli on Merrick Road in Seaford and we found them to have pretty good prices.
