what was your most memorable/creative baby shower gift...
what would you say was the most creative/thoughful gift you recieved. My best friends baby shower is coming up and i want to do something special.

My sister made a diaper cake. It looked like it was all diapers, but once you opened it, it was full of baby items and toys. The thing that held it together was a child's baseball bat in the center.

I made a basket once, it was so much work, but I was so proud.
It was all the baby's first holiday stuff.
christmas pjs, bibs, all holidays...santa hat with name on it.
easter, v-day, forth of july, halloween, thanksgiving...
once she said she was pregnant, I just started picking things up. came out so cute.

I bought a mother/daughter necklace for a friend - she LOVED it. Her DS is 3 and she wears it almost every day still.
My DS bought me one for my first mother's day that I wear every day. I feel totally naked without it.
I think a memoriable gift is one that isn't really disposable, or has a useful life

A friend who had a one year old bought my diaper bag and filled it items she felt where lifesavers/esentials for the first year. Tylenol, mylicon, cloth diapers, A&D, a binky cleaner, disposable diaper bags and a bunch of other stuff.

my DH aunt crocheted DS a blanket which he used as a newborn and still uses to this day in bed.

My college girls got me an elephant bank from Tiffany's, an embosser for the books I got in the wishing well and a gift certificate for a bootcamp at my gym! It was awesome and all very thoughtful.

I made a first holiday basket -- it was a HUGE hit and I try to make it for every shower now. I pick up things all year long. Bibs are the easiest because you don't need a certain size. For my SIL I knew when nephew was going to be born so I got some age appropriate gifts/onesies for the basket. Also holiday book are nice in there!
I got my diaper bag from my sister with a lot of "essential" stuff.
Baby bath tub filled with bathing stuff, towels and wash cloths.

my best buddy made a scrapbook & all I had to do was insert the pictures. She had it all set up... for all the holidays, first bath, first birthday etc it is adorable

I got the cutest rocking horse. Do you know the babies name? I also got a beaded bracelet with swarovski crystals and my sons name spelled out in silver baby blocks.. so cute!
