Probably.
It can be painful depending on the size of your Drs hands (although becaus eof PTL I have been having them since 26 weeks now so I don't even feel them anymore )
It is really not embarrasing though - especially not compared to what is yet to come 
Wait until you are in the hospital and everyone is taking a peek in there

That's what my Dr was saying when i set up this appt . there are 3 docs in the practice - 1 is teeny tiny, 1 is medium (the one my appt is with) and she joked that the 3rd can examine you from across the room b/c he's so big
she said she likes to warn the preggos because some like to prepare, both physically and mentally. hahahah

That is the other thing about having different people examine you. A person with small fingers may day you are 2cm dilated and then MR. Big Hands will say, nah you are only 1 cm

Another question...I have a male OB...at our appts, there is never a witness in the room since all he really does is check my belly and the heartbeat...
Do you think he will automatically have the nurse come in tomorrow? (I hope)

I had my first one last week at 35 weeks, and honestly it wasn't that bad. As long as you stay nice and relaxed and don't tense up...

My Dr. didn't do any internals. She said she specifically didn't do them, but couldn't promise if I ended up seeing one of the other Drs. that I wouldn't get one.
At 36 weeks though, I did get the Strep B test. It's just a swab test.

You can request to have one in the room with you. I have a male OB and i do the same thing.

It depends on the dr. and if they feel it's necessary. My dr. doesn't usually do them until 38 weeks but I had my first at 36 weeks since I had been having contractions.
