A little nervous or am I overreacting (TMI)
So I'm 39 weeks and recently see that I have a couple of hemorrhoids. After reading other posts, now methinks that maybe I can't have a vaginal delivery?
My OB never said anything about it, but once I had an appt w/the nurse practitioner and she did an internal exam to do the beta test and did see the hemorrhoids. So she would have noted that in my file right?
I have my 39th week appt tomorrow and hoping they don't do any internals (they haven't except that one)
Can you delivery vaginally if you have some hemorrhoids?

I think it completely depends upon the degree and severity of the hemeroids. I would bring up your concerns with your obgyn and let him examine them and make a decision from there.

Re: A little nervous or am I overreacting (TMI)
My best friend had hemorroids before she got pg and they discussed surgery because they were so bad during her pregnancy.
She delivered vaginally and seemed to have a normal recovery. I think you're fine. I read somewhere (in doing my own reading about hemorroids ) that 40% (I think) of pregnant women have them. So, if that is true then plenty of women deliver vaginally with them.
Good luck!

I had hemorrhoids and I had a vaginal birth with DD. 34 minutes of pushing and she was out! A friend of mine actually had an abcess on her rectum and delivered vaginally too!!

Oh no no no - don't pay attention to the other threads!! You would KNOW if you couldn't deliver vaginally, I promise. It's due to thrombosed hemorrhoids, not regular annoying hemorrhoids. The kind that if someone so much as sneezes 2 rooms over you yelp in pain (I wish I were exaggerating ). If you just 'found' them, trust me - you're fine for a v-birth

I had a huge one. It actually arrived the day before I went into labor! I had no problem with a vaginal delivery. It did get worse before it got better but everything was fine after that. Don't worry!
