Going to FL on Wed. with DD (4 mos old)
Need the snugride infant seat as a car seat (not bringing the base)
Is it doable to travel with the metrolite? If not- what stroller do you recomend?

I did it going to Florida. Left DD in the car seat on top of the metrolite until the gate. Took her out and gate checked the stroller and car seat. No problem at all. There was actually another woman on the flight with the exact same stroller and car seat. We just marked the tickets to not confuse them when we picked them up.

we don't have the metrolite, but we brought our full sized travel system stroller & carseat (chicco cortina) to florida twice. We gate checked it with southwest. HTH!

We did when DS was 3 months old. It was perfect.
We gate checked both and they came out in perfect condition

Re: Anyone ever air travel w/ Graco snugride and Metrolite?
Thanks everyone.
We were totally set to take the system but we decided to try DD in an umbrella stroller to see how she sat in it. She seemed to like it and we know it will come in handy in the future. We bought it for the trip since we don't anticipate putting her in it to walk around much- we need it mainly for ease through the airport.
