Clothing Fit Question

sorry to be so full of ?? today....

Emma is a weird little bunny girl...her clothes don't seem to fit her right (just like good ole' mommy)...

Gerber Newborn is a little big (not huge - but some is baggy and some are a little 'tight')...

Carters Newborn is INSANE big (HUGE)...

Circo Newborn is the like putting a SACK on her - it's so huge!

BRU Miniwear Newborn (i think that's the brand) is LARGE on her - not HUGE but large'ish...

Kmart Brand Newborn is LARGE on her - again - not
HUGE - but there's ROOM in there...like i could fit my fist...

I have a few 'premie' pieces that seem to fit her - but they are a TINY bit 'tighter' - much less 'wiggle room'...

my question and reason for this post - which is better? put her in clothes thas are a little 'larger' or clothes that seem to fit her like a glove (very little wiggle room)??? i just want her to be comfy....

eta: clarifying - i HAVE the clothes already - i need to know which you think would be 'more comfortable' for her....

should i put her in the 'tighter' (and again by tight - i mean fits well - like a glove) - and simulate the 'closeness of the womb' thing?

or put her in the looser clothing - because it's just more comfy that way for us - so why not them? :)

Re: Clothing Fit Question

I say a little larger so youll get more wear out of them. They grow like weeds and youll be buying clothes so often in the first year, so if you can get an extra month or so out of them, I say thats better.

larger. They wear them for so short a time as it is since they're constantly growing, best to put them in what you'll get the most use out of, and your money's worth.

Re: Clothing Fit Question

I have had Liam in mostly Carters newborn clothes. Most of the things are still big on him but they are fitting better everyday.

I would use things that are somewhat big on her. I think they are more comfy that way.

Re: Clothing Fit Question

I always preferred the clothing that was slightly larger on DS than the clothing that was tight. DS also cried more in the tight fitting clothing so that settled it for me. One brand you did not mention was Little Me. I really found those sleepers to be the most comfortable for DS. I also love the carter's even if it was slightly roomy.

I don't know if this helps you at all but, my rule of thumb when it came to pj's was that if when they stretched out and the pj's seemed to tight by their toes it was time to go up a size.
I preferred them to be more fitted and not so baggy.
