post your fast dinner recipes for toddlers.
i'm bored and josh loves eating (although slowly) new foods so i was wondering what you guys cook that is fast, easy, and can stay in the fridge for a few days.
last night i made him sausage and peppers.
~i used italian sweet rope sausage and boiled it about 10 minutes. ~sliced red, orange, and yellow peppers & an onion with a little extra v. olive oil in the wok till soft. ~then you cut up the sausage and throw it in the wok for a few minutes. yum!
i served it with pasta and tomato sauce.

sweet & sour chicken
baby carrots (or peeled/sliced), 1 can of sliced water chestnuts, peppers, onions, 1 can of stir fry cut baby corn, diced chicken cutlets - bake covered for 1/2 hour at 350, uncover and pour 1 jar of sweet & sour sauce over the entire dish, bake for 10 more minutes uncovered or until sauce is hot
so easy and yummy, i served it over rice

Re: post your fast dinner recipes for toddlers.
i'll post another although it may sound icky it tastes great.
i use either ground turkey or beef meat. i add wheat bread a little less than 1/2 the amount of meat you use ( i wet it to make it mushy and then drain the water from it.) then i add ketchup and mix the meat, bread and ketchup all together. form it into a loaf, spray a bit of PAM in a pan and bake it in the oven at 400 till the meat is cooked through.
sounds weird but ds loves my meat loaf and turkey loaf b/c the meat isn't dense or hard (b/c of the bread). i use the same method to make meatballs in sauce.

Re: post your fast dinner recipes for toddlers.
Turkey roll ups---I buy thick slices of boars head turkey, make stove top, roll up the turkey with stove top inside & hold with a tooth pick and heat on the stove in gravy. My DS loves this---I usually make mashed potatoes to go with it, but if I need it real quick, I make instant mashed potatoes.

We do the same but we put Muenster cheese ontop before we stick it in the oven for a few minutes! It is a HUGE hit in my house
