Stiches(possible TMI)
For those who had to have stiches after a natural delivery, how long did it take for them to dissolve?

Re: Stiches(possible TMI)
I still had a little bit left at my 6 week PP visit. My midwife said that they can take up to 10 weeks or maybe even more to dissolve completely & sometimes they kid of fall out instead of dissolving. Also, I was told that just because they haven't dissolved all the way doesn't mean they are actually holding anything together anymore.

Re: Stiches(possible TMI)
I think about 10-14 days for me for both of my pregnancies.

I was putting ointment on the area so I was able to feel them and then one day they were gone.

Honestly, i can still tell there there because they're on the outside and one or two inside. And when you move certain ways you can feel them pulling and it's just soo annoying and sometimes painful. I was figuring if they should go away soon i would just deal with it, but if there going to be there for a month or so i may call up the ob, because they can be painful.
