Has anyone seen maxi dresses with...
the bunched elastic at the top, but with thicker straps to hide a bra strap? Sorta like this one, but with straps.

how tall are you? if the dress needs a hem, a tailor can make it into thick straps for you! 
I did this with 2 dresses last year... and had 2 others converted from halter to tank straps.

I did this with 2 dresses last year... and had 2 others converted from halter to tank straps.
interesting idea-- but I am 5'7" and don't usually have to hem something like this. Plus, I am not looking to really spend lots and a tailor sounds like more money than it's worth! This is part of my "nursing wardrobe". I feel like I need all new clothes where my boobs are accessible!

It wasn't expensive at all - $10 per dress.

I actually saw some dresses with the bunched top and thick straps in the Victorias Secret catalogue. But I don't think they were maxi dresses though.

I was at TJ Maxx yesterday and they had a whole bunch of different maxis...not sure if they have the exact one you specified.
