I feel like they are climbing and that i missed the boat

yeah we locked in 5 a month or two ago and thought it'd go down, but we can't get it lower - it's up to 6 something now if we wouldn't have locked in the 5

i am so annoyed! We had 5.1 this morning and by the end of the day its at 5.3!

yes, all of the rates are going to go up this week. you should lock the best rate you can get tomorrow. they may go down again, but lock at one bank/credit union tomorrow. some are predicting that this is the start of the inflation that people were worrying about - who knows - but lock at one bank tomorrow, just in case.

Bethpage Federal Credit Union has been sitting at 4.875% for over 2 months now. That was the rate yesterday too.

Bethpage Federal Credit Union has been sitting at 4.875% for over 2 months now. That was the rate yesterday too.
Yes, we locked this rate yesterday on a first mortgage, 30-year fixed!!!! I doubt this will be the rate offered today but I could be wrong. I have a feeling it will go up today but Bethpage has such great rates, there still may be a chance to catch it.
We grabbed Bethpage when the rate at Astoria jumped up from 4.875 on Friday to 5% on Monday to 5.6% at close of business on Tuesday. Bethpage still had 4.875 all day yesterday. Not sure why....

Bethpage still has 4.875% right now. Their new rates usually go live by 11:00am - that's what one of their mortgage people told us.
