Do you think the cereal I am putting in DS' bottle
could be upsetting his stomach and giving him more gas than he already has.
The doc wanted me to put it in his formula and the kid is still so uncomfy after eating. There really isnt much formula changing since he is already on Elecare. Its the only formula (beside Neocate) that he can have. I cant stand this waiting game crap.
Everything is wait a week to see how he does. Nothing seems to help.

What kind of cereal are you using? Rice cereal made my DS gassy and constipated, when I switched to oatmeal it worked wonders. Good Luck.

Im using rice, but he definitely is not constipated. But he is definitely gassy.

Im using rice, but he definitely is not constipated. But he is definitely gassy.
I would try a different cereal, a lot of babies have a hard time with rice and it sounds like you have already exhausted all of your formula options. Maybe his little tummy will do better with something different, it was a lot of trial and error with my DS until I found the winning combination of formula, cereal and reflux medication to keep him the happy, content, not screaming all the time, little bundle of joy I knew he could be. I hope your DS feels better soon!

My DS also has problems with rice cereal, we switched to oatmeal and everything cleared up.

DD is very gassy on Neocate...I don't think the cereal would do much to change that either way...my GI told me that if I do use cereal, to make sure its Beechnut because it thickens it better than the others.
