UPDATED!! Please tell me everything will be okay!!
I am trying not to freak out because, well there is not reason to, yet.... right???
Troy went for his 2yr check up yesterday. They did a finger stick to check his blood. They were going to check lead level and (I *think* Hepatitis0 but I could be wrong).
I just check the answering machine (been running around since I got home) and there was a message from the Ped saying to call her regarding his blood!
I'm from the "school" of no news is good news and they only call if there is a problem!!!
They did a finger stick last summer (at our 1st visit to this Ped) to check his iron- they said it was VERY good.
We've been living in this new apartment since July so I freaking out, what if there is lead paint or something here??
TOO many things are going thru my mind and the worst part- I can't even call the office until 9am!!!!

Don't worry  It's more likely they made some sort of mistake and need to retake it or something about your insurance....I'm sure its fine!!!

My ped told me recently that the finger prick isn't very accurate since there could be lead dust that taints the sample. So *if* there is an issue, it could be a mistake. I'm sure everything is fine though

Oh Jill! I HATE that!!! Why couldn't the message say, please call BUT don't worry, I only need to verify something!
You said it best in your very first sentence.... there's nothing to worry about yet. No sense in worrying until you know what you're worrying about..... that's probably easier for me to say.

Thanks everyone!! I'm not worrying TOO much right now, but there are too many "what if's" running thru my head- oh and my "rock" (DH) is working and I tried to call him and no answer. Grrr.
I will update after I talk to Dr tomorrow.

I'm sure it is nothing!
It is rare to have lead issues on LI (not impossible, but rare) and from what I know, even some exposure wouldn't be the END of the world!

So I spoke with the Doctor- everything is okay. His lead levels are good. She said his iron level is slightly below normal, so she is going to change his vitamin.
See, so glad I wasn't OVERLY worried! Thanks again everyone!!
