can you buy a bassinet mattress?
My brother lent me my nieces bassinet to use for my DD when she comes but i noticed that the mattress is worn a bit since my niece used it till she was about 6 months old. can i get just the mattress?

maybe if you have the name of the company that sold the bassinet - you can contact them and get one? i haven't seen any that you can just 'buy' in stores...

Yes. They are in the mattress section by the changing table pads. They have a few shapes/sizes. I am using our family bassinet and the pad is old so I brought it in to BRU to size it up and registered for the one that would fit.
If the sizes do not work, you can just get a bigger one, cut it to size and double sheet it.

thanks so much ladies... i just contacted the maker of the bassinet to see if they recommend one or if they sell any.. ill see what they say and if not ill go to BRU and check out wht they have!!

maybe you can find one in the right size - i saw the size of the SHEET on their website - so maybe if BRU or BBB have the right size mattress - it can fit!
the sheet: Finished size is 16x30

ohh good to know!! thanks jess.. ill have to take a trip to bru and see waht they have.. the only ones i saw online were regtangle and the mattress is oval.. so ill have to see what they have that might fit

in all sincerity - it can't hurt to BRING the mattress with you when you go looking - so you have something physical to compare it too!
i have been told however, that babies will sleep on a wood floor if they're tired - so the 'softness and thickness' is all about what WE want...etc...

i agree.. it really isnt all that bad... and i should prob just keep it the way it is consider my niece wore a nice little spot for my dd to lay in..
