Have you tried Gymboree classes? How did you/DC like it?
I peeked inside the Gymboree at the Source Mall. It didn't look very impressive at a first glance. Gymboree seems to be very popular though. I'm going to try a trial free class.
Are the classes at different locations all the same or do the classes vary from location to location?
If you buy a membership, can you go to any location or are you limited to the location you enrolled at??

I am enrolled with DD at the Gymboree in Oceanside.. I like it.. i think they have a lesson plan that they follow.. i'm not sure if its all the same across the board or not. If you are enrolled in the level 1(0-6 months) you can go to as many classes in as many locations as you choose but once you get out of that level you can no longer do that.. I am pretty sure thats how it works.
I happen to like it and dd gets amused so it's worth it for us.

We did it with DS for 1- 15 week session at the Gymboree in St James and he wasnt really into it. I feel like for what it costs, it wasnt really worth it for us. DS isnt a "climber" so he just played with the bubbles, balls and and basketball net a lot. Which I couldve done at home for free, lol.
I say definitely try the free trial class first. I will say the kids that were into it, looked to be having a blast. Just wasnt my DS thing.
ETA: ours limited us to our location, for an additional fee we did have "open gym" time included in our package, so we could take him there whenever we wanted during open hours.
As for the curriculum, there is one, at least in the group my son was in (hes 20 months). One day is up and down day, the next is over under day and they all follow the same basic format regardless of the "day" it is.

Cailen always hated it - the best was Music Together, but I'll be honest, none of these classes held any meaning to him AT all until he was about 18 mts old. All these little baby classes are a waste of money and time....

DS went from 6 months to about 14 months and really liked it. I wanted him to interact with other kids and teachers as a preparation for daycare.
Of course you can all that at home, but the point (for us anyway) was to get out, see other moms andhave fun. We would probably still go if I didn't work.
You can take a trial class in both gym and music. Try them both to see what your child enjoys.

DD is 3 months and we've been doing Music Together classes since the spring session started when she was 8 weeks.
I don't agree that they are a waste of time of time and money. She shows much interest in it and really loves the music.
