I went to Garden Depot last night

All their perennial stock is outside. Heuchera, Lavender, Daylilies, Liriope, Coreposis, ornamental grass, Aster, etc. $9.99 for 3 quart pots of perennials.

They also have a nice collection of Hydrangea. They have the moptop varieties and also the Blue Wave Lacecap which is to die for. I bought a 3 gallon blue lacecap hydrangea for $24.99. Blue Wave 5 gallons are $49.99 which sounds like a lot, but it is (in my opinion) the best lacecap out there.

They have cellpacks of flowers too, although they don't look completely stocked on those. I got a couple of Sweet William cell packs for $3.00 each. Their herbs and veggies are out too - Burpee tomato plants ($9.99 for 2 each of Beefsteak, cherry and grape. Or 2 ea of Big Boy, Early Girl and La Roma). They have rosemary, basil, oregano etc. for $4.99 each.

Enjoy!!

I love that place. That is where we bought all of our stuff last year. Great prices. And all our plants still look great this year. Love the Hydrangea lacecap. I might have to get me one of those. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Yup that's the one. They have this thing on their site that they haven't raised their prices which is true. The perennials at least def were $9.99 last year.

I have to give this place another chance. Last year DH & I went there & had the worst customer service that we dropped our plants & walked out.
Maybe we'll check them out again.

Re: I went to Garden Depot last night

I wonder if they know that and are working on it, because I had three people greet me when I came in. Another one out in the back as I was browsing, and I asked him how much the perennials cost because they're not labeled. The guy who was at the cashier was also nice, and I even got a nice person when I called back, worried that there were two differing tags on the plant I bought.

Then again, I'm that low-maintenance customer who is there forever, walking and inspecting and writing prices down, and picking things up and saying no thank you, just browsing. Chat Icon

Re: I went to Garden Depot last night

When we went there last year, we had a great experience there. We went twice. The 1st time was just to check out the place and see what they had and what the prices were like. They were very nice and helpful. They told us that if we had pictures of our yard, we could bring them with us and they would help us buy and place the plants & flowers. 2nd trip - we found a friendly worker after looking around a little and he helped us right until the end. We had pictures on own camera of the areas we needed to fill, he asked how much sun or shade there was, he asked if we wanted low maintenance or not. It was great! So give them another try. Plus they really do have a great selection and it does seem that their prices didn't go up since last year from Greenfreaks price list above. I will def. go back when we want or need more plants.
