OTC treatment for mild eczema?
DD has very mild dry patches on her cheeks. Is there any lotion/ointment I can get OTC that will help? It's the only part of her body that gets it. TIA!

I heard good things about aquaphor and just started using it on DD. Hopefully it works!

Aquaphor, works like a charm!
ETA: Triple Cream (made by the same company as Triple Paste) is great for the dryness.

Re: OTC treatment for mild eczema?
We have an RX for cream for DD's excema break outs...but I've been using Cetaphil on a regular basis and it's been amazing for her skin.
But I do agree with the others...Aquaphor is GREAT.

Be careful putting hydrocortisone on a baby's face...if you put too much for too long you can bleach the skin. We had to do it for DS for a while before getting a different ointment from the dermatologist. I would do aquaphor first, and then ask the pediatrician if they're okay with a low dose on the face if it doesn't go away.

Re: OTC treatment for mild eczema?
When I don't have to use the Rx creme, I alternate between Cetaphil creme (in the tub) and Aquaphor. If it's really bad, I will try hydrocortizone, even on his face, but not more than a day or so. I asked the ped about putting it on his face before I did it.
