Pregnancy dos and don'ts

Hi Ladies,

Shall we share the helpful hints we learned about our pregnancies?

As for dos, I have been told to srink lots of water, exercise moderately, and take my prenatal vitamins.

On the don't list, I have sushi, cold cuts, coffeine, too much fish, unpasterized milk, and baths.

My DOs would be:

Make sure you go out to romantic dinners with DH as often as possible. Once DC gets here it will be really tough!

Also if you can, oversleep! Sleep in and enjoy doing nada! Because lounging around in bed on Saturday mornings ain't happening with DC!

I agree that this could be hard since everyone believes different things.

But, I did want to ask why you can't take baths? I would have died without baths!! You should not take very hot baths - that is dangerous, but normal warm baths are great. I took them all the way up until I left for the hospital. They made me feel much better during contractions. And I also had SI joint issues and a displaced rib that I would not have survived without a bath.

My Do's: drink lots of water, be sure to eat protein and drink milk, eat fish at least once a week, exercise throughout the pregnancy, sleep, take prenatals, enjoy time out with DH!

My Don'ts: No artifical sweetners (like in Diet soda, some gum, etc), no caffeine in fist half, small amounts in second half, no sushi, cold cuts, unpasteurized cheeses, no high mercury fishes, no checking the scale expect at dr's appts!
