Full Foil or Surface Highlights?
What look do you like better?

I just do half-head foil (I guess they would be considered surface highlihgts?  )
I like the contrast of the lighter hair on top and the darker on the bottom.
Personal preference, though

I think it depends on the look you are going for, how much you want to spend and how much time and money you want to put into maintenance. Unless you wear your hair up a lot, I don't feel a full head is necessary.

I agree. I always wear my hair down, so while I have done a full head, it isn't necessary for me.

If I am going for a more natural look, I usually go for really thin highlights and lowlights all over my head.
For a more chunkier look, I do half a head. I don't mean really chunky either, just chunkier than extremely thin ones.
