Now I remember why I never buy anything at the Gap, especially jeans
I bought dark blue jeans at the Gap the other day. $69 so not cheap. I decided to wash them today(NEVER WORE THEM) . Washed them in COLD water INSIDE OUT. VERY low heat in the dryer(they were still damp when I took them out). Just looked them and it looks like they've been washed at least 10 TIMES , they are so faded . I am so mad I am fuming Also the other day I posted on here that I ordered 2 V-neck T -shirts from them and I loved them. Well, after the very first wash in the machine and the dryer the V-neck of the first T shirt stretched so much I can only wear it around the house. So I decided to wash the other one by hand, same thing happened So now I have to buy more Tshirts but def not buying anything from The Gap any more. So annoyed. I hate Gap Sorry I just had to vent

yea, the Gap is not what it used to be, by a long shot!
and BR quality is also not nearly what it was!
I'm not a fan of either store anymore. I still go in to have a look, but never buy anything. every now and then I'll get something at the Gap outlet - it's good for cheap weekend wear. but that's about it

I am going to stick to my Sevens and other designer brand jeans . Costs more, but lasts forever, worth every penny( at least for me) and I don't have to worry about them fading or anything.

I would try returning it. I washed a sweater once and it came apart. They took it back no questions asked and gave me a full return!

I agree with the PP - return them! I would not settle for $70 jeans that I'll never wear.
their qualty is shoddy - that's what happens when you downgrade materials and have them assembled in China or Cambodia

Definitly go back and it sounds like you got the indigo color which will fade even in cold water. I buy a lot of their jeans because they are the only one's that fit me the well but I buy them on sale because sometimes it does happen.

I guess I'll try and return them. I don't think I have a receipt any more though I did pay with my debit card so maybe ...hmm I guess I'll call them later and see what they say.

You can definitely take them to the store and they will give you store credit! They try to stand behind their products. Just tell them exactly what happened and they will help you.
