Newborn and Hypoglycemia?
I have a friend who just had a baby boy last night a 9 ld 8 oz bundle of joy! She just told me he he is in Neo natal He will not keep anything down and is hypoclycemic. How serious is this?? Thanks for the info

Robbie was hypoglycemic when he was first born... it was directly related to my gestational diabetes. he was perfectly fine and back in my room after a few hours.

My son was hyopglycemic and not keeping anything down. They will monitor it closely and probably give him an IV with what I call sugar water. It usually straightens itself out in a few days.
