Where should a summer dress hit on DD's legs?
Not sure if that question makes sense 
I'm no seamstress  and am ordering a dress for DD on Etsy, and the seller needs me to tell her how long I want the dress.
Where should it hit her legs? At the knee, above the knee, or below the knee  I'm not a big dress wearer myself, so I'm always confused by this.

im actually going throuhg this right now with dds 1st birthday dress that im ordering....the maker says it should hit mid-calf or at least a little below the knee

Thanks everyone, that is how I measured it and just wanted to make sure!
Another question: I have to send her DD's chest measurement...obviously I just measure right under the armpits, right?
