It is such a sweet video. My Dad watched it about 40 times the other day. He's a sap for stuff like this.

I LOVE this video....animals are such magnificent creatures
there is another part of that clip where Christian introduces his "wife" to them and she is very calm around them as well

Re: Christian the Lion - Youtube video....
How come everyone was in an uproar because a woman in Conn had a chimp in her home, but people who have a lion in an urban environment are OK?

Well they didnt WANT a lion, they found him being SOLD in a store, he was being mistreated so they saved him - rehabilitated him until he was strong enough and then set him in free in the wild ( i think he was in a preserve first though )
they didnt hold on to him out of selfishness, or try to make him human

While it's a noble endeavor, they had a carnivorous wild animal in their London home for a year. If they wanted to rehabilitate him, they should have had him in a facility designed to harbor lions.

True but they didn't...and they rescued him and rehabilitated him and set him back into the wild...which was where he belongs...but at least they saved him from the pet store or wherever he was to begin with....what's done is done at this point.

This was also in the 70's wasn't it? Times were a bit different back then

Even in the '70s, lions attacked people....
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-452820/Christian-lion-lived-London-living-room.html
and they brought him around in public, with people who he didn't know.... I think that's very irresponsible and reckless.
