Wedding ring question
2 part question:
My DH has lost a lot of weight and now his wedding ring is too loose. We were going to get it sized but it has diamonds and we dont want to mess with the setting.
1) Has anyone had this done with a diamond band?
2) Has anyone or their SO worn a different wedding band (ex a plain gold band) for the time being, or only wear their "nice" wedding ring on certain occassions?

Re: Wedding ring question
Can't you have those balls soldered into his ring the same way a woman would?

Re: Wedding ring question
I don't think its costs very much. All it is is connecting two balls to the ring. I had it done for my e-ring for nothing.
I have a friend who is a jewler. I am seeing him tomorrow- and I can ask for you. He is a very reputable jewler and works out on the island. FM me if you are interested.

Re: Wedding ring question
I think those balls are only if it is a little big. If he lost a ton of weight and the ring is way too big, I would get it resized.
Are the diamonds all the way around or are the sporadic or only on the top?

Re: Wedding ring question
I have 2 bands, one has diamonds and I usually wear it and the other one is plain and matches DH's . I wear the plain one on occasion, when I don't really want to wear the diamond rings.

Re: Wedding ring question
I resized my wedding band -- it has diamonds set into the band on the front and there were no problems what so ever.
DH has two wedding bands - one very nice platinium one he wears when he's not working. And a titanium one for work since he didn't want to mess up his good band.

Re: Wedding ring question
This is probably a stupid suggestion, but maybe, if it's that HUGE on him, they could solder a thinner band onto the inside of the ring? THat's probably a stupid suggestion, but hey, never hurts to mention it.

Re: Wedding ring question
my hubby has a fake ring and a real ring
the fake was bought for the HM- but came in handy b/c he already lost the real one- when we were married for less then 1 month
now he wears the fake everyday and the real one when we go to dinner etc

Re: Wedding ring question
I have a diamond/platinum ring and also a titanium ring that matches DH's -- I wear that any time we are travelling or doing anything physical... why not get him a ring guard??

Re: Wedding ring question
I had a similar problem. I lost a bit of weight and had to have my rings recut and sized, but I have an additional band with diamonds set going around. This would have ruined the band, so I had to get balls put in. Image Attachment(s):
