is it wrong - 1st birthday question
Would it be wrong not to have a birthday party for DD?
DH and I are actually getting into fights about the topic. She'll never remember it good or bad. We expected to be living in a larger house which would have been more reasonable. I can't get DH to stop adding to the invite list (feels like my wedding all over again) and it's getting expensive and I just don't know that it's going to be anything but chaotic in such small quarters. Even if we are lucky and it doesn't rain, our property is tiny. DH is making it into an "adult" party when I wanted to keep it child centered. Our invite list is almost 30 adults plus only 10 kids. It's not like she has "friends"... I work and we don't ever really have play dates b/c I have no time and want to relax on the weekends. Not sure what to do. Thoughts?

I always thought I would just had family over for pizza and cake.. then I felt guilty and through her a party.. but it was a small one.. just close friends and family. Its totally up to you to have or not.

i seriously doubt we will have a party for DS, we will probably have friends over for cake and coffee and that's it. we just can't afford anything bigger than that and he won't remember it anyway.
