Oh, the joys . . . .
I was talking to a co-worker yesterday and suddenly when I looked away for a second she was like "Do you know you have a broken blood vessel in your eye?" I had NO idea- I have never had this before EVER. It was on the white of my eye, but the only way it was visible is if I rolled my eyeball to the outside corner. It was pretty gross looking.
I woke up this morning and it has slightly traveled in the direction of the cornea.
I looked this up online and it said that there is nothing that can be done except wait 10-14 days for it to heal itself. I am totally grossed out - I can't even look at myself.
I know this can be from high blood pressure or diabetes, but more commonly from vomiting, coughing, blowing your nose and sneezing. I was just at the OB on Monday and my blood pressure was great. I don't get my glucose test until April 9th. I have been coughing and blowing my nose a ton since I feel like I have been congested the entire 21 weeks so far. I also did vomit the day before my co-worker noticed, and since it was hidden, it could have been there longer than realized.
So of course this is on a weekend and my OB's office is closed. My reg. dr. is also closed.
I don't really know if I should be concerned or not

It's also something that can just happen with no warning or reason why. There's nothing that your doc can do about it. It takes a while to go down, just try not to rub your eye(you'll only irritate it more) If your that concerned you can always call up your obs office and have the service have a dr call you back to reassure you.
