House boats
Would you live on one? Why or why not?
I find them so intriguing. I've seen some REALLY nice ones. I think I would try it, but would sell once my kids were a little older so it would be safer for them.

I would definitely buy one to live in during the summer months, don't think I could do it during the winter.

Short cute story.. I was in the process of looking at houseboats, and found one I loved. I tossed the idea around for weeks and decided to make an offer, when my real estate agent called me up and said taht the boat next to the one I was looking at SUNK that night.. You cant insure them, so you BASICALLY LOSE EVERYTHING
Needless to say I bought a coop

i saw that house on MLSLI in Seaford as well...i think it was just listed, and it looked newly remodeled...i wonder if it was the same boat! I could never live in a house boat....i get really sea sick, so if it was rocking at all i wouldnt be able to take it...PLUS DH has a fear of being on the water for extended periods.
It reminds me of the movies though...i feel like there are always people living in houseboats in the movies.

WOW this is gorgeous. I think I could live in one. But not in New York...I would want to enjoy the water all year round and the winters are too cold here.
