Let's talk snack trays on strollers
How important are they?
I always thought that a snack tray is a must, but find that so many of the higher rated light weight strollers do not have one and am wondering why . . .
I never thought picking a stroller was going to be so daunting.
I am not looking to really go much higher than the $200 mark for a stroller, so finding something with all of my wants just seems impossible.
I have gone back and forth between the Graco Metrolite, the Perego Aria OH, the Maclaren Triumph and the Baby Jogger City Mini

For me - it was a must with my son.
I have the Metrolite and a Maclaren for when Jack got bigger. I hardly ever used the Maclaren because Jack would not sit without eating snacks - so we still use the Metrolite. It def. depends on the kid but I would say that in our case it's def. a must have!

Re: Let's talk snack trays on strollers
i liked the idea of the snack tray. even if they dont use it for snacks you can put there toys on it so they can play. i registered for the chicco cortina for the full stroller. i also registered for the uppa baby g-light as our light weight stroller for when the baby is bigger.

i THINK some of the strollers have snack trays that you have to buy separately. i could be wrong though.

Re: Let's talk snack trays on strollers
We first had a lightweight stroller without a snack tray. For us it was a BIG mistake. After needing to put snacks between his legs and them getting crushed and him going nuts, I went out and bought one with a snack tray.

IMHO they are VERY mportant. I would not get a stroller without one, this is from a BTDT mom if that matters
I used mine countless times

Re: Let's talk snack trays on strollers
Ours didn't have a snack tray. It had the bar instead. My reasoning was I didn't want them snacking in between meals. If I really needed to give them something, I to hold the little tupperware container of cheerios so they didn't make a mess on the ground.
It's a matter of personal preference. My stroller was a Peg Perego.
One thing that was helpful in deciding was to go to the store & wheel them around. Open & shut them a few times, carry them, etc. It was helpful to see how big the handles go up for taller people (if that's an issue for you), how flimsy the seats where, if they had a 5 point harness, how big the basket underneath was &, more importantly, how easily accessible it would be with a baby in it, how far the seat tilted back, does it have a built in rain cover, mosquito netting...I could go on & on as I researched strollers to death before deciding on mine.
