gilded glam.

I LOVE this mirror from House Beautiful (although may want to find something smaller)

I LIKE in certain respects the style of this chest/stand/dresser (we don't need/want a large one b/c we have 2 very large closets with more than enough storage) but it's F-ood (fake wood Chat Icon ) and it's not quite right...from Crate and Barrel (also too much $$ for F-ood)

so, in your travels/shopping have you seen similar pieces? the only other thing I can find similar is the Hayworth (Chat Icon ) collection at Pier 1, but I want dark wood like the C&B version.

I am also keen to find some glorious accessories.

I am open.

TIA.

Peter Andrews had something similar to that chest, as did Homegoods the other day

Ballard Designs has similar mirrors. Glorious accessories as well.

ShopNBC (home shopping) has mirrored furniture as well...

I love the look and thought about it as well, but was afraid that I would get bored of it too quick.

Try Home Decorators. Horchow also has some of the mirrored stuff on sale a lot. Ballard also has a similar mirror.

Icherian has some mirrored pieces - maybe you can ask where she got them.

tine, Horchow actually has a section called Mirrored decor sale (or something like that Chat Icon Chat Icon )

soooo, new question..this is my bed
External Image

other than that, we have a flat panel tv mounted to the wall and an antique blanket chest below it (colored similarly to the bed)

can I get away with THIS as the dresser?

and if so, can I do a mirror like in the OP. or should I do a mirror with a dark wood frame/trim similar to what is in my bed?

(remember, a man with actual opinions sleeps with me, so I can't have it too 'girly" Chat Icon Chat Icon )

TIA! again!

Ethan Allen has a retro line - I'm pretty sure there's something similar to that mirrored piece -

ETA - you can absolutely use the dresser you posted in the link w/ that bed -

Sorry - I think the bed is too contemporary for the dresser.

I can't find exactly what I am looking for but...
What about something like these:

From Bassett

This is a hall chest, but you can use it as a dresser

I think you can pull it off.. I hate matchy matchy... You can also try 2 different night stands on his side you can make it more masculine.

As for the mirror, dont know about it on top of that dresser. Love the dresser though and the look you are going for

Love the look you are going for. Check out this site for accessories. And check out their sale items too. I would def. check out Home Goods for everything you are looking for. Can't wait to see pics when you are done with the room.
