I thought the Superbowl Halftime show yesterday was a ....
Bruce Springsteen... I get it he's a rock and roll legend but still he does nothing for me. Never did.

I was too... the superbowl would've been such a perfect place to sing that song... especially w/ the age ranges of people who watch.
I really thought he would've ended with that- though I did love Glory Days.

DH was listening to some sports talk show this morning on the radio and they were talking about the fact that he didn't sing "Born in the USA" They also said that he sounded like he was in pain from a hernia.
The only songs I like from springsteen are born in the usa and glory days. Other than that he really does nothing for me.

I disagree. I thought the show was great. I thought he and his band rocked.
Loved it.
It was nice to see something other than a effects, dancing, hip hop show.
It was real to me and he and the band did great.

yeah, he looked well preserved. He's 59! Most performers these days can't even come close to his talent.
I'm no Bruce fan but I really thought he did great. Yes, Born in the USA would have been great.

Awww - I thought he was adorable - I loved how happy he looked and how excited he was while performing. He is old, and he still tried to do some cute little dance moves. I was never a big fan of his (I love some of his songs though) and thought he was great!
BTW - Born in the USA is not a song to be sung at the Superbowl. It's not a patriotic song, which I think bush Sr. had the misfortune of finding out when he made it his campaign song!

I really enjoyed it!
He was so excited to do it, and he looked like he was, as well as the rest of his band. He was playing music and enjoying it, not performing/acting like Janet Jackson.

Born in the USA is a song about how ****** this nations treats its vets, why would anyone see it as appropriate as a ra ra sporting event song?
