Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ex-Fiance "Working It Out"

Though they called off their engagement last month, things may not be over for Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ross McCall.

"We are working it out," McCall told Us Weekly. "We are both still wearing our rings."

The couple called it quits over the holidays after two years together and a one-year engagement. Former Ghost Whisperer costume supervisor Claudia Wick told the magazine they split because Hewitt was "so needy and immature."

"She would call McCall up and go, 'Can you come and sit with me? I'm cold,'" Wick said. "She would drag him on the set and then pout and they'd fight. Mainly, it was her needing something from him: 'Can you say you love me?'"

Wick said Hewitt needed the reassurance because she had body image issues — though Hewitt memorably defended her curves after bloggers mocked her bikini-clad body in 2007. "She would try on clothes over clothes," Wick said. "She would not have lights on or mirrors in the dressing room. It's sad because she had a beautiful body."

The two had reportedly already picked a date, location and a dress for Hewitt. But maybe it won't all be for naught?

If any of that's true I can't imagine any guy putting up with her for very long. It's shocking they've managed to last 2yrs.

Funny, I heard her ex boyfriend- the guy from the boy band LFO- on Howard Stern the other day.
He said she was seeing like 7 different guys while she was dating him- telling them all the same story.
I hear she's a real serial dater!
