question about donations in Mineola area?

I had put together a laundry basket of toiletries with the intent of delivering it to a place in Hempstead that houses homeless families and gives them a jump start when they are placed in a home. However, they only accept the donations between odd hours during the day on weekdays when I'm at work.

I have had this great basket in my living room for weeks now and want it to go to good use. I tried the Corpus Christi Outreach program, but the phone perpetually rings and rings.

If you live in the Mineola area, where do you donate food and new household items? Thanks!!

I give to Outreach at my local church. My friend and neighbor wrks there, so I give them to her. I live in Copiague

most Catholic churches have a St. Vincent De Paul society. Corpus Christi would be one. Parishoners often leave baskets or bags of food and items inside the doors of the church. they are collected by the outreach people and then distributed.
