My baby is breeched and I have to get "turned"
Has anyone experienced this?
Tomorrow we are heading to the hospital to have my doc try and turn the baby around. I think it's gonna HURT! I am 37 weeks.

Re: My baby is breeched and I have to get "turned"
I have no experience with it, but I watched it happen on A Baby Story last week. The woman self admittedly said she didn't have a high pain tolerence and she didn't even cry! She just "oooo'd" and "ugghhh'd" a bit and it looked like it happened pretty quickly.
I don't know if that helps at all, but I thought I'd add in what I know

Oh no, I DVR baby story and I just deleted a bunch - thinking they didn't pertain to me (I delete the c-section ones and ones where they know what they're having!). Now I might be getting a c-section!
CAn you describe the couple - maybe I still have it DVR'd!

Yes! They lived on a military base and already had a little girl. The dad was the one in the military and he had to fly back from Iraq to make it for the birth. He was african-american and had the cutest freckles.
Does that help?

I have never had it done. I have 2 friends that did. Neither one worked but only one of them said it really hurt. The other said it was uncomfortable but bearable.

Re: My baby is breeched and I have to get "turned"
My baby is breech and if it doesn't turn by 36 weeks (I'm almost 35 weeks now) the doctor said they will do the same thing. When I asked if it hurt, she said people tell her it feels like an indian sunburn (from when we were kids) but it is over pretty quickly. I read up on it on line...look up external inversion..there are a lot of experiences that I read about and most didn't seem too horrible.
Good luck...hope it works! I would love to hear how it goes because I know my baby isn't moving!
