Table Runners
I have a dining room table that has 8 chairs with room for two more chair (which i am not adding). I am looking for a table runner the longest I have found was about 72 inches and I think it looks too short on the table.
My question is
is the table suppose to fall on the sides or can it stop about 12-18 inches on both sides. If you have seen a table runner for long tables please share.
Thanks

Re: Table Runners
I have seen it both ways and I like it both ways. I don't mind if a runner is short as long as it's centered. I have both types of runners for my table (about 60") and I like it.

Re: Table Runners
I have seen some 90" long at Fortunoff, but that's still to short for my table.
I gave up the search and put one the other way on the table.

Re: Table Runners
you can go to a fabric store, pick out what you want, determine the length you need and have it sewn at your local tailor. I did 21 of these for my wedding

If you don't mind how much did it cost you for each one?

Re: Table Runners
I don't remember, it probably depends on the fabric. For 21 of them it cost $138 and then it cost $200 to sew and steam them so roughly $16 a piece?
