Being the bad cop!
What do you do if and when DH lets DC play with something or do something you usually try not to encourage?
This morning DH let DS take the dishwashing liquid out of the cabinet and walk around the house with it (he was watching but still ) ? ??
I wanted to yell at him (DH)...but I kinda just said "dont let him play w/that!" ... I just feel like I always want to "correct" DH for things but I don't want to be nag either and act like my parenting skills are better.
What do you do? Nag away?

What do you do? Nag away? You should def. sit donw and have ONE conversation about this as to not nag time after time....make the guidelines together and agree to stick to them...thats what we do anyway

Re: Being the bad cop!
I used the nag away. But then DH just kinda stopped doing a lot to help out. He said that whenever he tries to help out I would just criticize. LESSON LEARNED!! Now, I only say something if he puts DD in danger (which he would never do anyway!) or something like that.

I also used to nag (still do sometimes), but now, if something like that happened, I just make a remark like "if it gets all over the place, you know where the paper towels are"...it's a pretty strong hint...

I know how you feel!! I am constantly "reprimanding" DH, and it is always over the same things, you think he would learn?!? Seriously, how many times can you tell him that he cannot just lay a blanket on top of a 3 1/2 moth old before he remembers??
