what are some names you like that are too common these days?

i love these names but i feel like theyre so common now.
what other names would you add to this list?

I don't see why it's offensive - it's not like it's an opinion - Some names aer extremely popular - Some people couldnt' care less about that, and to others, it's important - I don't think there's a right or wrong
Jack and Ava were my #1 baby names since I was a kid ........
And now that I'm old and having a baby - Jack and Ava are STILL my favorite baby names, but they've just become too popular for me.
In my circle of friends/family alone we have 2 Jack(s) and an 2 Ava(s) -

DS is named Caden....after all of these girls around here he had full naming rights to his son.
Upon seeing the 2008 baby name list where Caden was in the top 10 DH got a bit irritated that the name was so popular. (I think it's 7)
I pointed out to him that when my DD Alexis was born ALEXIS was the 3rd most popular name. In her elementarty school there isnt another Alexis in her grade nor in the one ahead or behind her..
There are such a wide variety of names now a days that it's not like everyone will have that name...

Turns out that "Abigail" was #8 in 2007 according to the SSA. We picked it more for religious/cultural reasons and NOT popularity.
BABY NAMES
Ava was our second choice and was nixed because MIL suggested it - no other reason.

DH loves the name Madison for a girl. I like it to, but feel it is so trendy and that there will be 10 girls with the same name in her class.

Whatever - we love Olivia and are still gonna use it if we have a girl.
ETA: My son's name is very UNcommon and I always get that ..."that's different" Can't win - too different, too common. Who cares what anyone else thinks as long as you love it.

ITA! and for the record, I wouldn't consider Olivia to be that common, so I think whats considered common can differ from person to person. I don't know anyone personally who's named their child Olivia (and there are a TON of babies amongst our friends/family!)
if we have a boy it will be a Michael, its very common, but DH has to have a junior!

olivia has been my "baby name" since i was 12!!!! but since its become more common i wont do it :(
which is a shame b/c i certainly love it.
i just grew up with 2- 3 other Jessicas in my classes growing up and it annoyed me.....
i have no idea what name we'll end up choosing.
ps. i dont think its OFFENSIVE to state the obvious (that some names are more common than others)
i said i LOVE the names, not the other way around
