Sachem schools are closed.... PLEASE LET THERE BE MORE SCHOOLS SOON!!!!!!
See now, this is when I start to worry about my commute because I live in Sachem SD, and they do not take care of their roads, but I work in Smithtown , and they are awesome at cleaning up the roads, so my headmaster, who LIVES AT THE SCHOOL, doesn't understand why everyone gets upset when we're open.

Longwood 2 hour delay

I saw the custodians plowing and shoveling the Northport schools today. I live in the district.
The district I work in though is ALWAYS opened. My supt. has 4 wheel drive and says, "If he can get to work, we all can"... um, hello... some of us don't have SUV's. We have a small district on the water and use a mom and pop bus company... they never close

true but our distric closed for the big "rain" day in Dec... I hope they do. My friends brother was out before and he has a Hummer-he said it was icy conditions and dangerous to drive!!!

I just got excited because my cell phone was ringing and that's the number on my snow chain, and I was thinking, everyone else who'd be calling me would call my house number, but whoever it was didn't leave a message I was hoping to get "the call"!

Ugh, Npt, NEVER closed! I think there was one storm when we were the one of two open districts in Suffolk .

Come on, Superintendent, who the heck wants to drive in this crap tomorrow?
Last time we had snow and most districts had a snow day or at least a delay, one of the teachers got into a bad accident and totalled his car!! we do not do delays
