I registered the week before Thanksgiving (I'm due Feb 4th, and my showers was this past Sunday).
I took a friend with me who has 2 kids..she told me everything I need.
Otherwise, BRU & Buy Buy Baby gave me a list of the necessities..that was really helpful too.

I was really in no rush to register since I'm not having a shower. But I waited until after the 24 week mark to register.
I found the baby bargins book to be very helpful. But I also took my sister who had a baby last year, and who is a pediatrician so she knew exactly what I needed.

Just wanted to congratulate you Kelly! I registered at 18 or 19 weeks (after my level 2 sonogram). We didn't find out the sex of our baby but that seemed like a good time to register. I slowly added to my registry over the following months. It is super stressful. Get the book baby bargains and do some research on the big items before you register. After your big items are picked take it from there. That is my advice. Have fun!

We are going to register at about 20 weeks after we find out the sex. It may seem overwhelming, so if you have friends who have done this already, definitely ask for advice. Biggest piece of advice I can give, is when picking out a stroller, make sure it is easy to open and close. BIG mistake I made the first time around.

Iwasnt one of those by the book girls ever but i swear...get baby bargains!!! it really helps you weed out the items that look good and the items that work and hold up well.....i have a used copy if anyone interested FM me. I registered starting at probably 15 wks....and it tookme a good 3 wks ot finalize i.i still tweak it ..especiallyw ith new patterns and products coming out between now and the new year.....its overwhelming whenall done at once..i took my time....
