Does the growth slow down????
I know they grow a lot in the first year but holy he!! Does the rate of growth slow at all anytime soon? Shes 3.5 months.
I look at certain clothing and go "No way will this fit her yet" Then by the time I actually put it on her it just fits and she wears it once. It's like I can't come to grips with how big she is!!!! She's at the end of wearing 3-6 month clothes at only 3.5 months

Re: Does the growth slow down????
Generally, in the second year they grow more slowly (and the clothing sizes span more months). So far, this has been true for DD.

Length/Height wise, on average, babies grow about 10-12 inches in their first year...4-5 inches in their second year...and 2-3 inches in their 3rd year.
DS gained almost 20lbs his first year....but since his first birthday he hasnt really gained any. He's slimmed down quite a bit and has gotten taller.

Re: Does the growth slow down????
My DS just turned one. He grew like crazy until he was about 10 months, then I noticed that it slowed down. I felt like I would buy new clothes, he's wear them for like 3 weeks to a month and then be growing out of them.
He started wearing 24 months in September (he's a big little guy!) and is still wearing the same size, but his body has changed a lot. He got taller and slimmer and has less of the baby body and more of a toddler's body now (less chunky limbs and belly). Over the course of the year, he grew about 10.5 inches and gained a little over 19 pounds, but from the 10 month visit to the one year visit, he didn't really gain any weight.
