Since being pregnant are you more
cognizant of what you say to people in general?
During this pregnancy journey I have had people say the oddest things to me, sometimes a bit rude, also given alot of unwanted advice, while expressing their opinion.
These experiences have really made me re think what and how I say things to people. I was not a mean, horrible person to begin with, but will admit to being a tell it like it is person and sometimes a bit judgemental.
Being pregnant and hearing comments made to me and even reading some of you guys experiences, really made me sit back and say you know what - everyone is different and it is best to respect their thoughts, opinions and ways of doing things?
Anyone else have this eppithany so to speak?

Re: Since being pregnant are you more
I know exactly what you mean!
This weekend DH and I met my BF and her FH in the city for dinner. The conversation got to being pg and her FH (who has no kids) says, "Are you exercising? Exercise is the best when you're pregnant!" Now I know he was only trying to be helpful, but who wants to think about exercise when they're 1. Nauseous all day and 2. Eating pasta?!
It sure made me think about what I have said/will say to pg women in the future!

Re: Since being pregnant are you more
Having dealt with infertility and having to go through multiple IVFs in order to get pregnant, this started for me long before getting pregnant. It gave me an entirely new perspective on voicing my advice or opinions. Not that I was ever one of those people to say inappropriate or rude things. But I became alot more cognizant of what I said, or how I said things.

Re: Since being pregnant are you more
I was thinking about this post when I was out today with some colleagues of mine.
They were saying to me oh you must be having a boy because you look too good. Girls make you look bad and it is not a pretty sight.
I do not know what I am having, but I have had people say this to me before and I thought to myself damn, what if I did not look so good in their opinion, what would they say to me?
I just think I have learned to really zip it, not just with pregnant women but with people in general after all the things I hear people say nowadays.
