Is there a new test they do now during 17-18 wks of pregnancy?
My DH's cousins was telling me there is a new test they recommend getting during the 17-18 wk. range in addition to the 12 wk. ultrascreen and AFP.

with my 12 week ultrascreen they did more accompanying bloodwork on the 16 week visit

I know they do blood work with your AFP which is usually done between 16-20 weeks, but she said this was entirely different.  Maybe they did a quad screen

I had the AFP/Quad Triple Screen done, only because that's what was recommended based on the results of my ultrascreen. While my Downs ratio and Trisomy 18 ratio were great, some other factors warrented my Dr. to want to run the Quad on me as well.
